Volunteer College Scholarship Initiative

We are building up our young volunteers and want to reward them for their efforts. Periodically we have a group of teens that take out their time mentoring and tutoring young kids in their local community. Having promising high school students tutor younger kids makes lessons more relatable to younger individuals.

The LFE Center Scholarship Initiative provides a scholarship to students in exchange for the time commitment to intensive and meaningful service with a local community organization over their high school years.The LFE Center Scholarship is designed to transform not only the students who are directly supported by the program, but also the campus and community in which they serve and learn.  LFE students volunteers emerge from their college experience with a greater understanding of communities and the problems that exist within them, as well as the skills and commitment to be effective in community problem-solving efforts. Not surprisingly, they remain involved in service no matter what path they pursue in higher education
